Winifred Joy Thomas

Winifred Joy Thomas age 93, formerly of Greenville, went to her heavenly home Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Spectrum Health Reed City Nursing Home. Joy was born May 18, 1929 in Midland, the daughter of Albert B. & Ida E. (Hepinstall) Northrup. She was a member of the Greenville Bible Methodist Church and loved spreading the love of Jesus, celebrating all her family and friends as well as spending time with the Lord. Joy is survived by her children Rhoda & (Alton) Miller of Hastings, Rachel Thomas of Reed City, Rhea Quales of Reed City, Robert & (Becky) Thomas of Columbus, Ohio and Royal & (Carolyn) Thomas of Alexandria, Alabama; daughter in law Maxine Thomas of Greenville; grandchildren Jared Miller, David & (Rachael) Miller, Joseph & (Kendra) Quales, Jonathan & (Danielle) Quales, Jason & (Kristen ) Quales, Robert & (Kristy) Thomas, RuthAnn & (Ryan) Toy, Libby & (Morgan) Jones, Eddie & (Brittnay) Thomas, Ericka Calderon, Katie & (Emmett) Westmorland, Wendy & (Marlin) Jeffery and Gwen & (Mark) Schoenfelder; 33 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and her sister Lillian Hayes of Flint as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband M. Nelson Thomas exactly 9 years ago on October 18, 2013, parents, sons Richard & Rodney Thomas, granddaughter Leah Miller, grandsons Scott Thomas & Lamont Quales, great grand daughter Elly Grace, 5 sisters, 3 brothers, and her inlaws. Funeral & Committal Services will be 5 PM Friday, October 21, 2022 at the Greenville Bible Methodist Church, with visitation from 4 PM till the services at the church. Burial will be held later at Rest Haven Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made in her name to the Greenville Bible Methodist Church.
