Virginia Arlene Vaughn age 97, of Greenville passed away Saturday, October 28, 2023 at her hone under the care of West Michigan Hospice and her daughter, Sheila. She was born September 17, 1926 in Carson City, Michigan, the daughter of John and Susanna (Morton) Shinabargar. She loved to read, crochet, and paint until macular degeneration took most of her eyesight many years ago. She traveled with her husband to the Two Hearted River along Lake Superior for over 40 years. She hunted for agates while he fished. She loved the U.P., light houses and even seagulls. She was a sweet and loving wife and mother. Her oldest son used to say she made Sunday dinners seven days a week. She was loved beyond measure and her beautiful, quick smile will be missed. Virginia is survived by her children Roger (Joy) Vaughn of Stanton, Michael Vaughn of Stanton, Suzanne Clark and Sheila Vaughn of Greenville and also by her grandchildren, great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents John & Susan Shinabargar, husband Earl M. Vaughn, son Ronald L. Vaughn, brother Homer Shinabarger and by her sisters and brothers in law Marguerite (KC) Smith, Clara Dennis and Bonnie (Harry) Caldwell.
