​Valerie K. Gruber

Valerie K. Gruber age 57, of Gowen, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021. She was born October 25, 1963, the daughter of Richard & Linda Lou (Hunt) Higgins. She loved to play cards, Yahtzee, and video and board games. Valerie is survived by her husband Jim of 38 years; son Michael Gruber of Gowen; daughter Amber Gruber DeVries of Gowen; step son Joshua (Kimberlee) Gruber of Maryland; four grandchildren Shane Gruber, Jennica, Zach and Tylor DeVries; two step grandchildren Brody and Blake Gruber; brother Jonny Nolf of Georgia; three sisters Dawn (Larry Tickler) Young of Greenville, Vickie Vanderlip and (Archie Whyte) of Orleans and April (Stewart) Thorpe of Greenville; sister in law Kathy Gruber of Greenville; step father Vic (Carol) Nolf of Gowen and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Dick Higgins, mother Linda Lou Morrow and her step mother Esther Nolf. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and the limit of people that can attend funerals, no services will be held at this time. Arrangements are by the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville.
