Theresa G. Bernier

Theresa G. Bernier age 87 formerly of Irons, Michigan, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Green Acres Assisted Living in Greenville. She was born December 16, 1927 in Irons, the daughter of John & Nellie Long. She was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Irons and the Altar Society, was a resident at Green Acres and attended St. Charles Catholic Church in Greenville. Theresa is survived by her daughter and son in law Carol & (Tony) Kasparek of Cedar Springs; son and daughter in law Urbain & (Linda) Bernier, Jr. of Taylor; four grandchildren Kurt & (Karen) Kasparek of Dearborn Heights, Nicole & (Todd) Weller of St. Louis, Michigan, Jennifer & (Nathan) Levandowski of Cedar Springs and Destinee Bernier of Taylor; seven great grandchildren Nicholas and Jordan Kasparek, Dylan and Danielle Weller, Katie, Brian and Jacob Levandowski; sister Helen Gutowsky and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Urbain N. Bernier, Sr. on February 25, 2011, brothers Vince and Edward Long, and her sisters Julia Gutowsky, Mary Stovall and Ann Miller. The Funeral Mass for Theresa will be 11 AM Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at St. Charles Catholic Church, Greenville, celebrated by Fr. Mike Cilibraise. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 PM at the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville, with a Rosary recited at 7 PM. Burial will take place later at Lakeview Cemetery in Irons. Memorial contributions in Theresa’s name are asked to be made to Hospice of Michigan.
