Terry D. Rood age 84, formerly of Greenville, passed away Monday, June 13, 2022 at Holland Home in Grand Rapids. He was born December 2, 1937 in Grand Rapids, the son of Ivan M. & Marie F. (Mishler) Rood. For most of his childhood, he lived in Parnell, attending St. Patrick’s Catholic School. He moved to Greenville and graduated from Greenville High School in 1956. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army from 1957-1960 and then in the Army Reserves until 1963. He was stationed in Germany as a communications specialist from 1957-1960. Terry was a faithful, active member of St. Charles Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was a general manager for ITW-B&L Plastics in Rockford until he retired in 2000. Terry loved deer hunting, fishing, and traveling with Marcia. He enjoyed working on home improvements at his cottage as well as through volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity. He loved a cold beer and was an avid fan of the Red Wings and Tigers. He loved spending time at his Pentwater cottage. Being surrounded by his wife and family brought him his greatest joy, warmest smiles and deepest laughs.
