Steven J. Kohley age 61, of Greenville passed away in his sleep Monday, August 8, 2016, at his home. He was born September 6, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Harold R. & Anna M. (Gereaghty) Kohley. He was a hugh Michigan fan, went to the University of Michigan, played rugby there, was involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters, loved playing Santa for his family and other children, was a substitute school teacher, worked at Culligan of Greenville, was a driver for Limos by TJ, managed Charley’s Ice Cream for 14 years, worked at Kent County Honor Camp, Eight Cap and the Half Way House in Ludington, loved the outdoors hiking, backpacking and kayaking, and loved his nieces and nephews. Steven is survived by his brothers and sisters in law Mike & (Kathy) Kohley, Joe & (Ruth) Kohley and Tom Kohley and by his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Ann Kohley. A celebration of his life will be 5:30 to 7 PM, Monday, August 15, 2016 at the Turk Lake Bar. No memorial services or visitation will be held. In lieu of flowers please make contributions in Steven’s name to Big Brothers Big Sisters.
