Russell A. Hevel age 89, passed away October 5, 2024 at Lakeview Terrace Assisted Living in Lakeview. He was born May 5, 1935 in Carson City, the son of Alva & Mildred (Hunter) Hevel. His family was everything, loved bowling, traveling, camping, playing cards, golf, basketball, hunting and fishing. Russell is survived by his daughters; Colleen (Curtis) Ridgeway of Trufant and Phyllis (Arthur) Burns of Cadilac; 6 grandchildren Lukas (Holly) Kelley, Breanna Ridgeway, Nicholas Ridgeway, Jennifer (Darrell) Porter, Arthur Burns, II, Dianna Burns; 16 great grandchildren Chelsea (Sean) Brandli, Gabriel Kelley, II, Dylan Dennis, Weston Ridgeway Amelia Ridgeway, Mason Ridgeway, Sadie Buffum, Liam Ridgeway, Crew Ridgeway, Jakob Burns, Matthew Burns, Autumn Burns, Stephanie Grames, Logan Burns, Peyton Burns and Laila Carl; 3 great great grandchildren Willow Brandli, Lilly Brandli and Luca Hale; sister in law Donna Schermerhorn of Stanton; extra daughter Karen (Tom) Weeks; He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Doris on August 5, 2024, grandson Gabriel Kelley, siblings Gladys Bradley, Bruce Hevel, Patricia Frisbey, MaryAnn Wohlfert and Robert Hevel. brother in law Leroy Frisbey, sisters in law Dorothy Bliss, Carolyn Stoneham and Janet Bliss. Funeral Services at 12 Noon, Monday, October 14, 2024, at the Marshall Funeral Home, with visitation from 10 AM till the service. Burial will be in East Montcalm Cemetery.
