Roy A. Brewster age 83, of Greenville, MI passed away Tuesday, May 5th, 2015 at Spectrum Blodgett Hospital, East Grand Rapids, MI. He was born in Morley, MI on November 3rd, 1931, the son of Allen & Ethel (Treat) Brewster. Roy served in the Army during the Korean War from 1954-1957. He worked at General Motors as a pipe fitter and farmed in the Greenville area. Dealing with diabetes, he was always saying, “I'll live 'til I die.” He enjoyed fishing, hunting and panning gold in Nome, Alaska and Arizona. Roy was a member of the Lost Dutchman’s Mining Association. Roy is survived by his children, Mary Brewster of California, Jerry (Ruthanne) Brewster of Morley, Teresa Childs of North Carolina & Susan (Larry) Anstett of Greenville; grandchildren Lisa (Robert) Siebelink of California, Todd (Gretchen) Brewster of Lakeview, Beth (Matt) Boughan of Missouri, Andrew (Raylin) Brewster & Jason (Robin) Brewster of Pennsylvania, Andrea (Adam) Hoffman of Stanton, Brittany Brewster, Molly & Elisha Kellams of North Carolina, Maggie Anstett of South Carolina & Lukus Brewster Anstett of Greenville; many great grandchildren; and good neighbor, Jim Hopkins. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Carlton, Graydon, Thomas, Jerry & Otis; sister Carolyn, and sons Rick Brewster & Brian Brewster. No visitation or service will be held.
