Rodney Wayne Firman age 62, of Greenville, formerly of the Sterling Hts/Warren area of Michigan passed away Monday, March 31, 2025 at Mission Point of Greenville. He was born May 28, 1962 in Detroit, the son of Max Wesley & Lola May (Morris) Firman, Sr. He was a proclaimed Christian, worked as a window cleaner, was into Sci-Fi, history and the Civil War Reenactments. In the second grade (1970) Rodney had his picture with an article in the local Detroit News from when a politician elect came and asked the class he was visiting at Rose Kidd Elementary what they would want to be changed. Rodney's answer was that he believed children's allowances should be raised to $5. He enjoyed the theater, participating in behind the scenes and on stage. In his senior year of high school he gave a stellar performance as Renfield in the play Dracula. Rodney is survived by his baby sister Wendy Firman of Ohio; Sister in Law Susie Firman of Michigan; 19 nieces and nephews (and one on the way making 20 total); 18 great nieces and great nephews and 4 great great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Max and Lola along with his siblings Max Firman, Jr., Kristine E. Blankenbach (Husband Miles), Deborah Firman, Kevin Firman and Melodie Firman. Family would also like to recognize the staff of Mission Point Nursing home where Rodney lived out his last remaining 9 years. Even though he did not maintain relationships with his blood family, he had an amazing set of relationships with the staff of the nursing home. We will be forever thankful to the hearts and lives of that staff in the care of Rodney and knowing he was not alone. No local services will be held. Arrangements are being handled by the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville, with complete obituary online at www.marshallfuneralhomeinc.com where you can leave a message of condolence for the family.
