Richard Arthur Shaw

Richard Arthur Shaw age 79, of Gowen, passed away suddenly after a short illness on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Corewell Spectrum Health in Greenville.   He was born October 13, 1943 in Lakeview, the son of Arthur E. & Helen (Hersey) Shaw. He attended Lakeview public schools, class of 1963.  He worked for Wolverine World Wide Tannery in Rockford for over 36 years.  He married the love of his life, Sheila Mascho on May 18, 1974.  He was a proud father of two sons, loved boating, snowmobiling, skiing and hunting in his younger years.  He also loved playing and swimming in the backyard pool with his grandsons.  Richard is survived by his wife Sheila; sons Kevin (Samantha) Shaw of Greenville and Michael Shaw of Greenville; three grandsons Christian, Alexander and Jason Shaw; sisters in law Peggy (Dennis) Graham of McBride, Nancy (Ben) Brough of Greenville and Cindy (Randy) Zellinger of Elm Hall and his brothers in law David (Wendy) Mascho of Mt. Pleasant and Tom Mascho of McBride.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Linda McKinley, brother James Shaw and his brother in law Mike Mascho.  A Visitation will be held 1 PM Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville.   Private family burial will take place later at Riverside Cemetery in Langston.  Arrangements are by the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville, with complete obituary online at www.marshallfuneralhomeinc.com where you can leave a message of condolence for the family.
