Natalie Joyce (Long) Anstett

February 25, 1929 — February 3, 2015

Natalie Joyce (Long) Anstett age 85, of Greenville, passed into the arms of her Lord on February 3, 2015 at the Laurels of Carson City surrounded by her family. Natalie was born February 25, 1929 in Vickeryville, the daughter of Harold T. & Mildred M. (Coates) Long. In 1948 she married the love of her life, George Anstett in Greenville, where they raised their children before moving to their beloved home in Williamsburg, MI. Natalie was a retired member of the Order of the Eastern Star and enjoyed many hobbies and pastimes including crafts, quilting, puzzles and sewing. Her mother passed on her love and talent for cooking to Natalie so everyone could look forward to a great meal at Moms and Grandmas. She was the hardest worker you would ever find, holding many jobs over the years. She was always a very devoted and loyal employee. After moving back to Greenville in 2004, she worked at Kmart and Walmart until she was 83. She will be deeply missed by her husband George “Stub” of 66 years; children Mike & (Diana) Anstett of Gowen, Larry & (Susan) Anstett and Linda & (Dennis) Harrison of Greenville and her brother Bernard & (Rosemary) Long of Vickeryville. Missing their Grandma are her 8 grandchildren Tim Anstett, Jamie Anstett & (Jamie Huber), Rod & (Brooke) Harrison, Barry & (Lyndy) Harrison, Michael & (Jessica) Harrison, Maggie Anstett, Lukus Anstett and Courtney & (Joe) Crittenden; 10 great grandkids; sisters in law Dorothy & (Max) Weathers of Traverse City and Jackie Dahl of Idaho; brothers in law Richard & (Barb) Anstett of Manton and Willard & (Char) Higgins of Indiana. Natalie was preceded in death by her parents and a great grandson Bo Harrison. The family is having a Celebration of her Life, Saturday, May 16, 2015 from 2 to 4 PM at the Turk Lake Restaurant Banquet Room to honor their beloved wife, mother and grandma. In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorial contributions in Natalie’s name be made to the Greenville Optimist Camp Wah Wah Tay See Fund held at the Greenville Area Community Foundation and can be sent to 101 N. Lafayette, Greenville, MI 48838.
