Nancy L. Reer

Nancy L. Reer age 88, of Greenville, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022, at home under the care of Kindred Hospice. She was born February 2, 1934 in Greenville, the daughter of Elton & Vivian (Harris) Olsen. She loved  to read books and was the owner of Reer and Son Well Drilling with her husband Garrett “Gary” Reer. Nancy is survived by her two daughters, Jackie L. Gibbons and Judy (Louis) DeVore; four grand kids; Trever L. Husted (Brenda Husted), Jeremy Cooper (Jodi Marvin), Spencer DeVore (Jody Nielsen), and Brittany L. Gibbons; 9 great grandchildren; many great great grandchildren; sister Judy (Dick) Burns; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by her husband Garrett “Gary” Reer on April 29, 2020, parents Elton & Vivian Olsen, brother Gary Olson sister in law Mary Ann Betser.  The Marshall Funeral Home will be handling the visitation from 11 AM to 1 PM Friday, November 25, 2022, with  Funeral Services at 1 PM, officiated by Laurie TenHave-Chapman, chaplain of Kindred Hospice.  Burial will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens.  There will be a luncheon at the Greenville American Legion immediately following the burial.  Memorial contributions can be made in Nancy’s name to the Clay Street Center Adult Day Services in Greenville.  Arrangements are by the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville, with complete obituary online at www.marshallfuneralhomeinc.com where you can leave a message of condolence for the family.
