Nancy Eileen Bannen age 80, of Lakeview, passed away August 29, 2024 at her home under the care of Hospice of Michigan surrounded by her loving family. Nancy was born April 17, 1944 in Lansing Michigan. She was the daughter of Frank II and Erma (Rockafellow) Sawdy. She loved to keep her beautiful flower gardens and she was talented in quilting, painting and just about anything she set her mind to do or accomplish. She loved her family and her home she made for them on the farm. She loved to bake her chocolate chip cookies and have them ready for her grand kids who all lived close by. Nancy is survived by her loving husband Walter Allen Bannen of 60 years, children Kevin Bannen of Lakeview, Christopher (Melissa) Bannen of Lakeview and Darren (Terrie) Bannen of Lakeview; Seven grandchildren, Anthony (Heidi),Nicole, Drew (Allysa), Bianca, Robert (Shelby), Sean (Kaylee), Alicia (Dan); great grand children Eldon, Walter Michael, Landon, Emme, Walter Allen, Evalyn and her seventh due in December; brother in law Stuart Sackett, of Edmore, sister Suzan Ruschkewicz of Amble, Frank III (Judy) Sawdy of Stanton, Daniel (Carol) Sawdy of Sheridan, Marcia (Daniel) Benner of Sidney; sister in law Shirley (Frank) Jaquays of Lakeview, Dick Carlson of Lakeview and her beloved dog Jewell. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Linda Sackett, brother in law James Ruschkewicz, brother in law Darrell Bannen and her sister in law Janice Carlson. Memorial Services will be on Friday September 6th, 2024 at the the New Life United Methodist Church 6584 West Howard City-Edmore, Six Lakes ,MI 48886. Visitation at 10:30 am and the memorial service to follow at 11:00 am. A luncheon will be served following the memorial service. A private burial service will be held following the luncheon at Langston cemetery. Arrangements are by the Marshall Funeral Home in Greenville Michigan.
