Mary E. McMeeken

Mary E. McMeeken age 82 of Greenville, formerly of Belding, passed away December 24, 2023 at Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital. She was born October 7, 1941 in Lansing, the daughter of Cloyd J. & Wilma V. (Plummer) Zuck. Mary was a friend to many. She loved her visits with family and friends and had one of the most caring hearts. Mary spent her working years in the medical field at both the Belding and Ionia Hospitals. She was an avid sports fan especially of college football and basketball, and was a big fan of the Michigan State Spartans. She enjoyed a good game of cards and was a bowler in her younger years. Anything to be with friends and socialize. Mary knew God and praised him for over 40 years at the First Congregational Church of Belding. Mary is survived by her daughter Tonya (Duane) Gibson of Ada; son Todd (June) McMeeken of Belding; four grandchildren Jared Israels of Wayland, Hunter (Kassie) Gibson of Grand Rapids, Jenny Lasko (Jason DuMond) of Belding and Michelle (Mitchell) Nicholson of Belding; several great grandchildren; brothers Jerry (Karen) Zuck of Indiana, Eric (Cheryl) Zuck of Alabama; sister Ann (Fred) Bauman of Indiana; sister-in-law Jane Zuck of Swartz Creek; and special friends Ruth Wanink and Suzanne Dickson. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Green Acres for their care and friendship. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Tom and William Zuck.
