Mary Elizabeth Howell age 73, of Greenville, passed away Wednesday night, August 19, 2020 at SKLD Nursing Home in Zeeland. She was born July 23, 1947 in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of Fred and Dorothy (Rubadue) McNeil. Mary was a former member of St. Charles Catholic Church and was retired from Electrolux, where she was on the recreation committee which would help with all the social events. She was a foster Grand Parent for the Greenville Public Schools at Walnut Hills Elementary and loved playing cards, bowling and animals, but most of all she loved her grandchildren. Mary is survived by daughters Lynette (Chris) Fuhrman, Lisa Greenhoe all of Greenville, Stephanie Schnicke of St. Ignace and Christina (Allen) Mason of Greenville; 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; sister’s Pat (Rick) Ackley of Greenville, Lynn Larson of NC, Kate (Sam) Ciluffo of Rockford, Irene Briles of Howard City, Sharon (Ray) Haven of Zeeland, Rosemary (Bob) Dailey of Grand Rapids and brothers Joe McNeil of LA, Mike McNeil and David McNeil of Kentwood; brothers-in-law Lorin (Dixie) Howell of Vestaburg, Jerry (Ada) Howell of Crystal, sister-in-law Emaline (Charlie) Huntoon of St. Louis, MI and Janet Howell of Greenville. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Mickey Howell, daughter Peggy Everett and a friend Clayton Moulter. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM Monday, August 24, 2020 at St. Charles Catholic Church with visitation 1 hour before the service. Visitation will also be held Sunday night from 6 to 8 at the Marshall Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made in Mary’s name to the Clay Street Center. Please bring your mask and allow social distancing when coming to the funeral home and church due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and the extended Stay-At-Home Executive Order which limits the number of people at a time.
