Mary Beth Hopkins

Mary Beth Hopkins, age 51, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 16, 2015. Born on March 15, 1964 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Mary Beth is survived by her adoptive parents, Janice and Ed Hopkins, and their children, brothers: Jeff (Alene) Hopkins, and Matt Hopkins, all of Cedar Springs, and Barry Hopkins of Grand Rapids, and sisters: Melody (Tom) Long of Wyoming, and Rebecca (Jack) McHugh of Walker, and her grandmother Reva Steele. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Harold Steele and sister, Tammy, in 1998. Mary Beth came into the world as the daughter of Adele (Jack Sr.) Bright, and is survived by her brothers: Jim (Linda/Yogi) Bright, Jack Jr. (Cindy) Bright, Don (Laura) Bright, and sister, Tammy (Marty) Derylo; her grandmother, Irene Allersma; many nieces and nephews on both sides of her family; care teams, friends and her caregiver, Shannon. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Clarence Allersma. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Marshall Funeral Home to assist with family expenses. A celebration of life for Mary Beth Hopkins will take place at NOON on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the Church of the Servant, 3835 Burton St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546. Visitation will take place from 11 AM to NOON at the church.
