Marvin E. Worthy

Marvin E. Worthy age 70, of Gowen, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014 at his home. He was born March 14, 1944 in Detroit, the son of Herbert R. & Robbonette (Taylor) Worthy. He love to golf, fish, and travel, was a master builder and was always willing to help out others. Marvin is survived by his wife Gerri; children Paul Worthy, Christine & (Craig) Sherrick, Lorie & (Dave) Tamblin and Wade & (Amy) Peterman all of Greenville, Scott & (Robin) Peterman and Brett & (Angie) Peterman of Gowen and Dirk & (Monica) Peterman of Rockford; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother Bill Worthy of Florida, sisters Marie DeAngelis, Sharon Worthy and Becky & (Dave) McCarty all of Gowen, Gayle & (Dave) LaFever of Detroit, Joann Rose of Greenville and Yvonne Jarien of South Haven. He is preceded in death by his brothers Clyde, Roy and Bob Worthy, sisters Marlene Gienette, Janet Brewington and Beaulah Gerowski. Memorial Services will be 2 PM Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Shiloh Community Church, with Pastor Kenneth Harger officiating. Members of the family will meet with friends and relatives from 1 PM Thursday at the church till the services. Memorial contributions can be made in Marvin's name to Alzheimer's. There will be a luncheon immediately following the service at the church.
