Marvin W. Gentz age 80, of Greenville, passed away Monday, April 27, 2014 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. He was born November 24, 1933 in Grand Rapids, the son of Carl & Cecilia (Zylstra) Gentz. He served in the Korean War in the Signal Corp, had a passion for flea markets and making that one (great deal), owned numerous businesses, the last being Stuff & Such in Greenville, had a green thumb when it came to working with plants and his garden has already been producing. Marvin is survived by his wife Janet; children Tim & (Evelyn) Gentz of Belding, Bonnie Crater of Greenville, Rick & (Terri) Vickers of Cedar Springs, Nate & (Leida) Zeigler of Ionia, Andrea & (Nick) Courtade of Ionia and David Young of Greenville; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister Catherine & (Howard) Sytsma of Grand Rapids; special friends Tony & Barb Crater of Greenville and his spoiled pets Mr. Mac, Izzie and Gizzie. He is preceded in death by his parents, infant son Danny, son Tom and his brother Donal Gentz. Memorial Services will be 11 AM Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville, officiated by Pastor Harvy Hampton. Members of the family will meet with friends and relatives from 10 till the services on Wednesday. Memorial contributions can be made in Marvin's name to B 93 for Kids.
