Marley enjoyed music, art, dance and exploring story, myth and diverse cultures through literature, film and cuisine. She was thoughtful and curious, known for her quick intellect and long memory. An eager conversationalist, she liked to laugh and talk about current events, fashion and interior design. She also loved the cats she had befriended over the years. Marley will be remembered for her wit, generous smile, knowing eyes, and warmth. Although Marley long suffered with progressive mental illness, she was able to live a life in shared community, with love and joy, made possible through ongoing treatment and the kind support of many for whom we are eternally grateful. A Memorial Service will be held September 30 at the First Presbyterian Church of Ionia at 3pm. Burial will be in Eureka Township Cemetery. Arrangements by The Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville, www.marshallfuneralhomeinc.com, where you can view the complete obituary and leave a note of condolence for the family.
