Marjorie E. Olmstead

Marjorie E. Olmstead age 59, of Grand Rapids, formerly of Ludington, passed away Monday August 5, 2013 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.  She was born March 12, 1954 in Ludington, the daughter of John Arthur & Mary Jane (Usher) Rae, Sr.  Marjorie worked in the nursing industry for over 30 years helping others and loved painting.  She is survived by her husband Duane of Greenville; daughter Mary Ann Garant of Holland; grandchildren Alexandria, Cassandra and Donavan Garant; Mother Mary Rae of Florida; sisters Barb Rae of Florida, Mary Jo DeBuche and Nancy Rae both of Wisconsin and Carroll Lalinski of Dearborn; brother John Rae, Jr. of Ludington; many nieces, nephews and members of Duane’s family.  She is preceded in death by her son Jason Michael Olmsted in 1995 and her father John Rae, Sr. in 2013.  Graveside Memorial Services will be held 3 PM Friday, August 9, 2013 at Reynolds Cemetery, Howard City.  A Time of Remembrance and refreshments will be held after the burial from 5 to 7 PM at her niece Faye Kyser’s Home, 13352 Sand Hill Ave., Cedar Springs.  All are welcome.   Arrangements are by the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville, with complete obituary online at www.marshallfuneralhomeinc.com where you can leave a message of condolence for the family.
