Marion Lee Clemens joined our Heavenly Father and her beloved husband, Thomas (Tom), on July 14, 2024. She passed peacefully in her sleep with loved ones by her side. She was born in Flint, MI to Pauline and James Stephen on October 27, 1945, the youngest of six children. Marion spent her youth and the majority of her adult life in Michigan and began working at K-mart in her early twenties and eventually retired as a human resource manager. Upon retirement, she bought Pippi’s Playhouse - a doll shop in Lowell, MI and fulfilled her lifelong passion of collecting dolls of any kind. She also enjoyed collecting a variety of antiques which included furniture, teapots and teacups, vintage dishes just to name a few. Anything small, cute and unique was undoubtedly collected and adored by Marion. She married the love of her life, Thomas Clemens, on June 9th, 1984, and together they blended their family in Ada, Michigan and had 40 wonderful and joyous years together. Tom preceded her in death on June 28th, 2024. Marion enjoyed traveling in her motorhome with Tom and together they traveled around the United States with their treasured Shih Tzu dogs, Poopsie and Charlie. From 2005 to 2021 Marion lived with Tom in Ada, Oklahoma where she was active in her church and enjoyed her church community and fellowship with friends. A devout Christian, her love of our Lord and Savior was clear in her everyday life. In 2021 she moved to Cary, Illinois with Tom where she remained until her passing. Marion was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to a large and boisterous family. She was a cherished mother and stepmother to Judy, Vicki, Len, Darren, Tom, jr., Tammy and Tera and grandmother to Darel, Aaron, Chad, Lindsay, Jesse, Ember, Aidan, Len, Leah, Laura, Lomasi, Brandon, Stephanie, Jason, Marnie, Joe, Tom, Tim, John and Daniel, Kelsey, Bert, George, and Ethan. Known for her sense-humor, playful and outgoing personality and love of music and dance Marion always knew how to laugh, make others laugh and enjoy each moment. Her antics and joyfulness will be lovingly missed by all who knew her and were touched by her laughing, blissful spirit. Her memory will live on in each of us in laughter, music, dance, relationships but above all love.
