Marian “Steven” Gwozdz, 82 of Greenville, passed away Friday March 30, 2018 at Spectrum Health United Memorial Hospital in Greenville after a long battle with cancer. He was born August 2, 1935 in Wolka, Poland, the son of Michal & Salomea (Sobon) Gwozdz. He retired from Frigidaire as a machinist. He spent his free time fixing watches and clocks. He especially enjoyed working on cuckoo clocks. He would craft metal into parts for the clocks in his workshop. Steven is survived by his wife Uvonah; children Lacy (Taylor) Hudson of Cheboygan and Matthew (Ashley) Gwozdz of Sheridan. Step Children Gwen (Terry) Anderson and Elaine (Jon) Muilenburg of Stanton, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Shirley Baker and his brother Bolestow. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville. Graveside funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Evergreen Cemetery, Sheridan. Memorial contributions can be made in Marian’s name to Spectrum Health Hospice.
