Margaret “Jean” McLaughlin age 90, of Stanton, formerly of Greenville, passed away Friday, November 8, 2024 under the care of Corewell Hospice. She was born on January 3, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of Otho & Wilma (Hooker) Andrews. She was a member of the Lakeview VFW Auxiliary, Eagles Auxiliary, graduated from Lakeview High School and enjoyed watching Detroit Tigers, playing cards, puzzles, traveling, bowling and attending to her garden. Jean is survived by her daughters Kristy & (Bruce) Ackley of Lakeview, Penny & (Mark) Olmstead of Stanton; son Bill McLaughlin of Sidney; six grandchildren Marc & Kevin Ackley, Kim Perdue, Courtnie McLaughlin, Chanda (Erik) Engle and John Olmstead; great grandchildren Lucas, Andrew and Dyllan Ackley, Blake and Avery Olmstead and Cade Dowell; sister Lynn Britt of Alabama; cousins; nieces; nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Forrest on January 5, 2013, sister Joy (Dennis) Poulsen. There will be no visitation. Private Graveside Services will be held at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Battle Creek, where she will be buried alongside her husband Forrest McLaughlin. Arrangements are by the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville, with complete obituary online at www.marshallfuneralhomeinc.com where messages of condolence may be offered to the family.
