Lyle Steven Miles

Lyle Steven Miles age 74 of Stanton MI passed away peacefully July 14, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. Lyle; or Steve as he preferred to be called was a man of faith. He enjoyed going to church and spending time with his family. He also loved hunting, fishing and watching pro boxing and wrestling. His biggest love was listening to his old-time country music. Steve was preceded in death by his wife Sharon whom he was married to for forty years. She was the love of his life and where ever she was, he was. Steve also has three children who loved him very dearly; Kathy Miles of Prudenville MI, Sara Jerrils and spouse Jessie Johnson of Crosby Texas and Robert Miles and wife Jenna of Belding MI. Steve served in The United States Army. He did two tours of duty in Vietnam. Steve has 12 grandchildren: Eden Jacobs (Husband James), Alex, Zach Thomas ane wife Stormy, Jacob, Cody, Zane, Kaycee, Gryphon, Mackenze, Chris, Aedynn and Sharon. He also has 4 great grandchildren: Justin, O'donis, Dominic and a AlaskaMae. The grandkids thought the world of pa. Steve was preceded in death by his wife Sharon (Nichols) Miles in 2008 and his parents Phillip Miles and Dorothy (Sharp) Miles. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Leon and Wayne Miles and sisters Doris Flowers and Shirley Hammer. Surviving are his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and brother and sisters Tom Miles and wife Pat, Jo Phillips, Carolyn Bigler, Phyllis Stokely, Alice Griffen and husband Claude and Donna Lewis. In honoring Steve's wishes cremation has taken place. Graveside Memorial Services for Lyle and Sharon Miles will be 2 PM Friday, July 20, 2018 at McBride Cemetery with Minister Steve Dobyns officiating. Military Honors will follow by the American Legion Post #101 of Greenville. Following the graveside service there will be a luncheon at McBride Hall in McBride MI.
