Lawrence V. “Larry” Stein

Lawrence V. “Larry” Stein age 77, of Greenville, passed away Sunday January 27, 2019 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. He was born April 17, 1941 in Bay City, the son of Victor & Virginia (Marchlewicz) Stein. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, former member of the Greenville Optimist Club, started the Greenville Branch of First Savings and Loan, started L & R Sales in Greenville and was formerly employed at Bollinger’s in Lakeview. Larry is survived by his wife Jean of 55 years; children Rick (Judy) Stein, Bill Stein and Teri (Rick) Visch all of Greenville; grandchildren Alicia (Eric) Thorlund, Derek Visch, Trey Stein and Jake Visch; great grandson Logan Thorlund and his brother in law John Papineau of Winter Haven Florida. Catholic Funeral Services will be 11 AM Thursday, January 31, 2019 at the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville, with members of the family meeting with friends and relatives from 10 AM till the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please make contributions in memory of Larry to St. Charles Catholic Church.
