Kenneth J. Workman

Kenneth J. Workman age 89, of Greenville, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. He was born on July 10, 1934, the son of Geroge B. & Nellie (Vander Mey) Workman. On April 25, he married Delores J. Heether, sharing over 59 ½ years of life together, they raised four children. He was a member of the Greenville United Methodist Church, where he and his wife Delores helped out in the church kitchen cooking and serving the Rotary and Lions Club activities and meetings for many years. Ken retired from General Motors/Fisher Body as a sewing machine mechanic.  In his retirement, he enjoyed working around the house, doing puzzles/games on his IPad, and making quilts which he generously shared with his family and others.  His great sense of humor and love of family will be greatly missed. He is survived by his daughter Kathleen (Jeffrey) Schweinfurth of Huber Heights, Ohio; son Steven (Marjean) Workman of Mont Vernon, New Hampshire; and daughter Debra (Mikeal) Osmolinski of Rockford, Michigan; six grandchildren: Tyler (Jenna) Schweinfurth; Spencer (Heather) Schweinfurth; Jacob (Kara) Workman; Sam Workman; Ken Mathewson and Sierra (Rich) Meekma and six great grandchildren Annabelle, Eleanor, Elijah, Sophia, Jacob and Frederick He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Delores on January 30, 2012, daughter Sally Ann Workman and his sisters Genevieve and Madeline. Memorial Services will be 12 NOON Thursday, August 17, 2023, at the Greenville First United Methodist Church, with Pastor Jane Duffey officiating. Members of the family will meet with friends and relatives from 10:30 till the service on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made in Ken’s name to the Clay Street Center (Adult Day Services).
