Karen Virginia Heether age 77, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Mission Point in Belding. She was born April 2, 1947 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Kenneth E. & Dorothy V. (Miller) Heether. She loved to enjoy the outdoors, and spent lots of time in her rocking chair under the shade tree noting the happenings of the neighborhood. In her earlier years she loved to take her great nieces and nephews on walks across town and watching the Labor Day talent show downtown. Her love of the color green, frogs, and Elvis Presley will be things that remind her family of her often. Karen was a constant reminder to her loved ones as they grew, to see the world through a lense that recognized the differences in others with compassion, kindness, and acceptance. Karen is survived by her brother Dale (Diane) Heether of Belding; niece Amy & (Buck) Moody of Belding; nephews Dale & (Bernetta) Heether of Langston; Jason & (Shanda Jaquay) Heether of Belding. Great neices and nephews Laisha, Logan, and Lucas Moody, Kenyon and Jaidin Heether, Teagan, and Gavin Heether, Steele Jaquay, Everly and Walker Jaquay-Heether. Karen also had 4 great great nieces and nephews plus one more on the way and many friends at Mission Point. She was preceded in death by her father Kenneth in 1990 and her mother Dorothy in 2007. Funeral Services will be 12 Noon Sunday, January 12, 2025 at the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville. Private burial will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions in Karen’s name can be made to Mission Point in Belding or the ”B” Foundation.
