Joyce E. Williams

Joyce E. Williams age 83, formerly of Gowen, passed away Wednesday May 13, 2015 at Heartland Health Care Center in Ionia under the care of Great Lakes Caring Hospice. She was born June 19, 1931 in Ionia, the daughter of Frank C. and Lillian M. (Robinson) Mitchell. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Stanton and worked at Ore Ida in Greenville. Joyce is survived by her brother and sister in law Don & (Julie) Mitchell of Knoxville, Tennessee; sisters and brother in law Joanne & (Bill) Lines of Hoodsport, WA and Pat Hoppough of Leroy; close friend Karen Miesch of Gowen; nieces Candy & (Mike) Merren of Sheridan and Lynne & (Kendall) Krick of Ionia, nephews Mark Hoppough of Orleans and Jim & (Gretchen) Killion of Ionia and numerous out of state nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Clayton Williams, sisters Maxine Hicks, Eva Wicks, Kay Killion and June Weiers, brother Harold Mitchell and her brothers in law Jerry Hoppough and Richard Weiers. Graveside services will be held later at Forest Home Cemetery, Greenville. Memorial contributions can be made in Joyce’s name to the Heartland Health Care Center or the Great Lakes Caring Hospice who both took loving care of her. Arrangements are by the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville.
