Jack Hiram Hansing, 81, of Gowen, loving husband, caring father, amazing grandpa, special brother, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at his home under the care of Spectrum Hospice and his loving wife of 19 years, companion for 31 year. He was born on September 20, 1937 in Grand Rapids, Michigan the son of Wilbur and Agnes (Bristol) Hansing. Jack was the owner of Brookside Golf Course in Gowen for 34 years. He bought the 9 hole course and built the rest from the ground up to make it a beautiful 18 hole course. He was hard working and put everything into the course. It was his pride and joy and meant the world to him. Over the years he carried much pride in the successful business that he built. He also enjoyed the game of golf very much and enjoyed traveling with his wife Luci to play courses all over the United States. Jack was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved hunting out West and Fishing in Canada. Jack was the heart of his family and he will be sadly missed by all of them! Jack is survived by his wife Luci, his children Bill (Patty) Hansing and Daniel (Roxie) Hansing both of Gowen; step children Tammy Rydahl, Tracy (Mark) Comer and John Vogl; grandchildren, J.W., Danielle, Lynn Hansing and step grandchildren Trevor, Jordyn and Tyson Rydahl, Kylie and Bailee Comer and Justene Vogl; sister Janice Panks of Greenville and Sally Rector of Gowen, step sister Donna (Al) Harding of Florida and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and step brother Bob Goetsch. Cremation has taken place per his wishes. Members of the family will meet with friends and relatives 5 to 7PM Monday, November 5, 2018 at the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville. Inurnment will take place 10AM Tuesday morning at Spencer Mills Cemetery.
