Gordon Eugene Eldridge

Gordon Eugene Eldridge age 89, of Lake Odessa, passed away Friday, March 14, 2025 at Portland Assisted Living in Portland, MI. Gordon was born October 13, 1935, son of Louis and Hedvig (Anderson) Eldridge in Mulliken, Michigan. Gordon worked at the Lake Odessa Elevator for years and later joined Frost Heating before he retired. He had a love for the Fire Department in Lake Odessa and was the fire chief for several years. He also loved hunting whether it be deer, coon or squirrel, going to tractor pulls and working on tractors. On June 2, 1956 he married Pollyanna Udell Earle. Gordon is survived by a son Ronald Eldridge of Ionia and daughter Laurie Eldridge of Stanton; two grandchildren Anthony and Chad (Justina) Eldridge; four great grandchildren Vivian, Vada, Conrad and Jupiter Eldridge; sister Rosie (Adrian) Ambler of Mason and Ruth Stair of Lake Odessa and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Pollyanna Udell Eldridge; brother Lyle (Uusurulla) Eldridge, Carroll Eldridge and brothers in law Gary Stair and Lyle Tice. A family gathering took place at the Marshall Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery in Lake Odessa, Michigan.
