Gerralyn "Gerri" Ruth Neve Peterman Worthy

Gerralyn "Gerri" Ruth Neve Peterman Worthy age 71, of Gowen passed away Monday, October 6, 2014 at Metron of Belding. She was born February 14, 1943 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Rolo Neve & Margaret (Hysell) Benton. Gerri was raised in Belding and graduated from Belding High School. In her earlier years she sold Avon, was a beautiful cake decorator, was active in Amway and became a realtor. Gerri's loving heart touched many, had a true love for her children and friends, loved to sing and dance, her favorites were Elvis and Johnny Cash, enjoyed playing cards where you had to watch her because she was a sneaker cheater. Gerri was married to the late Gerald "Sonny" Peterman for 25 years, until he passed away on June 29, 1985, then she was married to Marvin Worthy for 23 years who then passed away April 20, 2014. Gerri is loved and survived by her children Christine & (Craig) Sherrik, Lorie & (Dave) Tamblyn and Wade & (Amy) Peterman all of Greenville, Dirk & (Monica) Peterman of Rockford, Scott & (Robin) Peterman and Brett & (Angie) Peterman of Gowen and Paul worthy of Greenville; mother Margaret Benton of Kentwood; sister Carole & Roger Vos of Kentwood; brothers Bob & (Beth) Neve, Steve & (Sally) Neve, Ed & (Laurinda) Neve, Dave Neve and Jeff & (Penny) Neve all of Belding; 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and her brother in law Don Foss. She was preceded in death by her father Rolo Neve, twin sister Jacqualyn Foss and her husbands. Memorial Services will be 1 PM Friday, October 10, 2014 at the Greenville Community Church, officiated by Pastor Kenneth Harger. Members of the family will meet with friends and relatives Thursday from 6 to 8 PM at the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville. Memorial contributions can be made in Gerri's name to Alzheimer's. Burial will take place later at Rest Haven Memory Gardens.
