Gary D. Petersen

Gary D. Petersen age 62, of Stanton, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021 at his home. He was born June 3, 1958 in Sheridan, the son of Darwin L. & Darlene R. (Griffes) Petersen. He was a former member of the Stanton American Legion, he exercised daily, loved to ride any ATV and could work anything into something. He also a veteran in the US Navy, he loved his family and he always let you know what he was thinking. Gary is survived by his daughter Katie (Jason) Bannister of Six Lakes and son Samuel Petersen of Edmore, mother Darlene Petersen of Rockford, soulmate Kathy Petersen of Stanton and her kids Stuart and Tamisha; 12 grandchildren Trentin, Kylei and Tyler Willemstein, Alexis, Hunter and Mitchell Bannister, Chloe, Silas, Ryan and Victor Petersen, Carter Raymor and Dryden Young; brother Dennis (Barb) Petersen of Greenville; sister Stacy Garlick of Greenville and many nieces and nephews. Due to the current COVID-19 Pandemic and the limit of people that can attend, Military Graveside Services will be held 2 PM Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Vinewood Cemetery, Edmore.
