Fred C. Smalley age 77, of Carson City, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at his home under the cate of Sparrow Hospice. He was born September 17, 1942 in Saginaw, the son of Ralph & Leota (Spencer) Smalley. He retired from Extruded Metals in Belding after 36 years, loved fishing, playing cards, going to yard sales, camping and spending time with his family. Fred is survived by his wife Carol of 56 years; children Timothy (Jamie) Smalley of Comstock Park, Scot Smalley & (Tina Phoenix) of Stanton, Steve (Dawn) Smalley of Edmore, Lisa Smalley of Carson City, Jody (Terry) Fishburn of Vestaburg and Roxanne & Kurt; 20 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; brothers Robert (Virginia ) Smalley of Fenwick and Tom Wheaton of California; sister Nancy (Thomas) Sebring of Palo and Nadine Houseman of Stanton; several nieces and nephews; brother in law Earl John Hissong and sisters in law Lois Bannen of Greenville, Janet Peterman of Edmore and Mary (Floyd) Cooper of Sidney. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bill and Delford Smalley, grandchildren Kenny, David, Justin, Heather and Brittany, great grandchild Jadelynn and his brother in law Lee Houseman. There will be no visitation or funeral service. A Potluck Celebration of Life will be held 2 PM July 11, 2020 at his home, 7931 E. Holland Lake Road.
