Esther E. (Christensen) Petersen

Esther E. (Christensen) Petersen age 93, of Lakeview, formerly of Gowen passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2014 in Lakeview. She was born February 16, 1921 in Lakeview, the daughter of Nels & Elether (Christensen) Christensen. She was a member of the Settlement Lutheran Church and a graduate of Lakeview High School. Esther is survived by her daughters Barbara & (William) McNutt of Lakeview and Carol & (Ron) Richards of Stanton; sons Larry & (Karen) Petersen and Richard & (Linda) Petersen of Gowen; 8 grandchildren Becky Richards, Tammy & (Joe) Rodriguez, Jennifer & (Dave) Key, Deborah & (Dan) Otis, Trisha & (Russ) Jensen, Bill Petersen, Cheryl & (Tim) Christensen and Joy & (Mark) Lobert; 16 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; sister Irene LaPaugh; sister in law Betty Christensen and by her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne M. on November 16, 1983, grandson David Ingraham, brothers Leon and Edward Christensen, sister Alice Nielsen and her sister in law Arlene Christensen. Funeral services will be 11 AM Thursday, July 3, 2014 at the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10 AM till the service. Burial will be in Little Denmark Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in Esther’s name to Spectrum Hospice or the Settlement Lutheran Church.
