Elton B. Crawford age 88, of Greenville, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Spectrum Health United Hospital in Greenville. He was born March 3, 1926 in Greenville, the son of Elton & Vera (Mills) Crawford. Elton retired from Federal Mogul in 1982, was a Life Member of the American Legion Post #101 of Greenville and the VFW Post #5065 in Sheridan, member of the 40et8, member of the Walton Junction Sportsman Club and was a former member of the Trufant Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his daughters Priscilla Reterstorf of Greenville and Sheila Bauer of Sanford; 5 grandchildren Angelica & (Ben) Tant, Todd & (Melissa) Reterstorf, Dina & (Jamie) Aper, Rodney & (Chasie) Bauer and Ryan & (Amy) Bauer; 9 great grandchildren Benjamin and Dalton Tant, Kassidy, Riley and Kenna Reterstorf, Myah Aper, Cody & (Brea) Vertz, Braxton and Kensley Bauer; his K9 companion Sugar and a special friend Donna Flockner of Manton. He was preceded in death by his wife Donna in 1996, son Larry Annis in 1966, brother Thomas (Dale) Crawford and his sister Julia Fisher. Memorial Military Services will be 11 AM Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville by the American Legion Post #101. Members of the family will meet with friends and relatives from 10 till the services. Following the services there by a luncheon at the American Legion Post #101 of Greenville. Burial will take place later at Decker Cemetery in Blanchard. In Lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials in Elton's name be made to the American Legion Post #101, Greenville.
