Donald D. Walter, age 88, of Greenville, passed away August 5, 2018 at Metron of Greenville. He was born February 28, 1930 in Weidman, the son of Henry & Gladys (Bates) Walter. He retired from Kalfact Plastics as Plant Manager, loved hunting, camping and fishing. Don served in the U.S. Army as a Guard of Honor at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery. Walter is survived by his wife Lillian; children Bill (Gayle) Walter of Grand Haven and Marshall (Robin) Walter of Greenville, grandson Max (Abby) Walter of Washington DC and his sisters Eva (Hal) Henderson and Theda (Lavern) Everest. He was preceded in death by his first wife Ida Ogg, granddaughter Victoria Patterson, sisters Nina Belle, Mary and Luella and his brothers Norm, Lloyd, Wes and infant brother Kenneth. Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made in Walter's name to Hospice of Michigan.
