Dennis C. Smith

Dennis C. Smith age 64, of Greenville, passed away Monday, November 12, 2018 at Spectrum Health United Memorial Hospital in Greenville. He was born June 9, 1954 in Greenville, the son of Victor & Marjorie Lou (Nielsen) Smith. He was a 1973 graduate of Greenville High School, was an avid fisherman and hunter and was a truck driver. Dennis is survived by son Charlie Smith and (Carrie Reem) of Grand Rapids; his daughter and son in law Carmen (Jason) Hall of Holland; grandkids Zachary Hall, Michaela Hall, Kaleb Hall, Madison Hall and Hazel Hall; cousin Diane (Tom) Sprowles of Sheridan; aunts Ardith Deitz, Dorothy Lyons and Anna Nielsen; sister in law Wendy (Patrick) Tran of Sand Lake and nieces and nephews Marc Smith, Tara & (Chris) Lawson and Jordan & (Cara) Smith. He was preceded in death by parents Vic and Lou, brothers David and Dean. Visitation will be Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 12 NOON to 2 PM followed by Funeral Services at 2 PM, at the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville, with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Burial will be in Ashley Cemetery, with a luncheon immediately following at the Turk Lake Bar and Restaurant.
