Deborah I. Bennett

Deborah I. Bennett age 63, passed away Thanksgiving night November 26, 2015 under the wonderful guidance of Hospice and Green Acres in Ionia. She was born February 4, 1952, the daughter of Bert and Dorothy (Kenny) Bennett as their only child, although afflicted with down syndrome, she was a loving soul and was loved by everyone. She attended EBI and was in the girl scouts, 4H and a member of the Orleans Church. She was proceeded in death by her parents and is survived by her guardian aunts Charlene & (Gene) Gorby of Ionia and “Jo” Brown of Greenville; aunts and uncles Pat (John) Currigan of Holt, Jim (Marian) Kenny of Greenville, Harry Orr of Ohio, Bob Bennett of Orleans and Clarabelle Courser of Clarksville; many cousins and friends. Rest in peace now Sunshine Girl with your parents. Visitation will be 1 to 2:30 Wednesday at the Marshall Funeral Home in Greenville Graveside Funeral Prayer Services will be 1 PM Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Orleans Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Deborah’s name can be made to the Alta Mae Frost Scholarship through the Lake Odessa VFW or to Green Acres.
