Craig R. McGee

Craig (Cricket) R. McGee age 64 of San Antonio, Texas passed away Saturday, September 30, 2023 at his home. He was born August 22, 1959, the son of William "Bill" Raymond McGee and Jean Anne (Stoel) Mankel He was a Russian linguist for the US Army for 20 years, spending time in Iraq with the Ukrainians and was stationed in Germany utilizing his skills at the end of the Cold War. He loved to read anything and everything. He was a huge Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers fan and scheduled everything around their games. He was extremely proud of his daughters and their accomplishments. On August 28, 1982 he married Susan L. Cooper of Greenville. Craig is survived by his wife Sue; daughters Cara McGee of Greenville, MI and Sierra (Jordan) Dienhart of Austin, TX.; brother David McGee Fremont, MI; sister Kelly (Rueben) Tucker Croton-Hardy, sisters-in-laws Lynn Cooper Greenville, MI and Nancy Cooper, Asheville, NC and many nieces and nephews.   He is preceded in death by his Mother Jean, Father Bill and brother Bobby also his in laws Don and Sharon Cooper. A Celebration of Life will be determined at a later date. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
