Cory W. Cosier age 53, of Greenville, formerly of Cedar Springs, passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021. He was born April 7, 1968 in Grand Haven, the son of Wallace J. & Judy M. (Parmelee) Cosier. Cory loved to read and be outdoors as much as he could, on the water fishing or in a kayak even though he didn't care to swim. He loved grilling out, hunting and just being with his family. Although he never bagged that buck he got a tattoo of one which was good enough for him. He was a true "wolverine" but couldn't watch a game without yelling at the TV. Cory loved playing little pranks esp. on his children. He and his step son Austin formed a tight bond over the years, one that will last forever. He wasn't much for board/video games yet played just please us. He loved working with his hands, building stuff and keeping busy. Took pride in being a land owner and hobby farmer. "Homer" was way more than just a pig, spoke of him being a best friend who knew he was giving something back. Behaved better than our dogs when he got loose. Being from a small town where everyone knows your name and annually celebrating a pair of pj's (Red Flannel Fest ) kept Cory humble and quiet. Coast Guard and Pronto Pups were a must and we went every time we could even this last year, to walk as far as his feet would take him. He loved classic cars and loud music, from old county to hard rock. Ran cross country track in high school and made many friends. He always felt he was an old soul, and wore his heart on his sleeve. He would give the shirt off his back and last dollar in his pocket to whomever needed it. He is sure to be missed by many and especially me, we had the most dysfunctional marriage you'd ever witness yet we loved each other so deeply we ALWAYS found our way back. Cory is survived by his wife Shauna; children Cassie (Brandon) Healey of Stanton, Seth (Mary) Cosier of Dearborn and Austin Bylsma of Byron Center; two grandchildren Anthony Hunter and Lucy Cosier; parents Wally “Butch” and Judy Cosier of Cedar Springs and his sisters Kimberley Cosier & (Josie Osborne) of Wisconsin, Andrea Cosier of Grand Rapids and Kelly (Chuck) Towns of Lakeview.
