Corina J. DeYoung, age 96, has passed away under hospice care and her family at home. She joined her husband John of 67 years in Heaven on Christmas Eve. Born Corina Jane Pixley, July 13,1928, to Lloyd and Mona (Briggs) Pixley. She lived in Muskegon her first 90 years and then moved to Greenville in 2018. Corina attended First Reformed Church of Muskegon and First Congregational church in Greenville. On September 12,1947, she married John DeYoung, and they enjoyed many happy years of camping, bowling, watching the Red Wings, and playing cards together. Corina is survived by her daughter Barbi DeYoung of Greenville; sons John (Carol) DeYoung of Grand Rapids, Ron DeYoung & Robin Baker of Syracuse, Indiana, and Don (Sue) DeYoung of Muskegon; 12 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. Corina was preceded in death by her parents, husband John DeYoung in 2014, great granddaughter Ashlyn Brooks, and by her two sisters, Wanda and Delores, and one brother, Lloyd. Members of the family will meet with friends and relatives January 4th, 2025, at 10am for visitation at the First Congregational Church 126 E Cass St, Greenville MI, with a Memorial Service at 11am. A Luncheon will follow the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you consider donating to Emmanuel Hospice or another charity in Corina’s name.
