Cora A. Lay

Cora A. Lay age 94, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Metron of Greenville. She was born May 17, 1920 in Barryton, Michigan, the daughter of Roy & Leona (Phoenix) Morden. Cora was a member of the Family Life Center Church of God in Belding, was retired from American Box Board in Grandville and enjoyed her family and friends. The joy of her life was working at the school with the little kids. She is survived by her daughter Myrna Avery of Cedar Springs and the children she raised Sandy & (Steve) Slagter of Casnovia, Darlene & (Jerry) Getts, and Mike Howe of Wayland. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandkids and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers sisters, daughters, son, grandson and granddaughters. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM. Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville, with Pastor William Overton of the Family Life Center Church of God officiating. Burial will be in Greene Cemetery. Immediately following the committal at the cemetery there will be a luncheon at the Family Life Center Church of God in Belding.
