Chester A. Williams age 90 formerly of Lakeview, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Masonic Pathways Senior Living in Alma. He was born September 30, 1927 in Lakeview, the son of Charles Albert & Minnie Mae (Workinger) Williams. He was a member of the Stanton Masonic Lodge #250, a 32 degree Scottish Rights, a member of the American Legion Post #101 of Greenville, served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War, was a 1946 graduate of Lakeview High School and also love farming. Chester is survived by his nephews and nieces Jerry (Cindy) Christiansen of Stanton, Janice Christiansen, Terry (Marlene) Bigelow of Stanton, Allen Bigelow of Stanton, Sandi (Mike) Gager of Rockford, Mark Harris of Gowen, Rick Harris of Sparta, Dave (Amy) Harris of Greenville, Paula (Greg) Steffey of Kalamazoo and Keith Mann of Muskegon; special friend Ruthie Smith and his three sisters Joyce (David) Mann of Muskegon. Flora (Paul) Bigelow of Stanton and Marie Harris of Gowen. He was preceded in death by his wife Beatrice Williams and his brother in law Duane Harris. Funeral Services will be 11 AM Friday, April 20, 2018 at the Stanton Congregational Church, with Pastor Bob Braman officiating. And committal services by the Stanton Masonic Lodge #250. Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville and one hour prior to the service at the church. A luncheon will follow immediately after the services at the church. Memorial contributions can be made in Chester’s name to the Stanton Congregational Church. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Langston.
