Cecil Gene Palmer age 60, of Greenville, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Monday, November 26, 2018 at home, in Greenville. He was born December 16, 1957, the son of Sherley G. & Betty M. (Jennings) Palmer. Cecil was an avid fisherman and collected hunting knives of all shapes and sizes. He enjoyed watching all mediums of movies with his granddaughter, and you could often hear the movie vs book discussion after every movie shared together. He was a man who found delight in the small things. Especially his fondness for chocolate. To which he always said, it was better and cheaper than therapy! We had too few years and He will be missed dearly by many. Cecil is survived by his three children and 5 grandchildren. Daughters, Rashonda & (Dustin) Dean of Dorr, their children, Axle & Chloe Dean. Chasity Lester, of Greenville, & Morgan Lester. A son & two granddaughters of Stanton. Siblings Debbie and Mike Droste (Ionia), Rodney Palmer (Belding), Tammy Corl, (Sheridan) Debbie Richmond (Orleans), Sally Dare (Jenison), Julie Glentz, Gerald Corl (Sheridan) and Tom Corl (Fenwick), Robert and Elizabeth. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, and his wonderful wife Carol, in 2008. His siblings Joyce Enbody, Dino, and an infant brother Roger Palmer also preceded him. Celebration of life for Cecil will be held in the spring, to be announced at a later date.
