Carroll Ann Newberg

Carroll Ann Newberg age 85, of Carson City passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022 at SKLD Nursing Home in Ionia from Dementia. She was born September 25, 1937 in Mecosta County, the daughter of Lloyd T. & Pauline (Worthy) Thomas. She loved doing crafts, sewing and flowers, worked at Carson City Hospital, as well as provided home nursing and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Carson City. Carroll is survived by her daughter Hope Newberg of Carson City; grandchildren Jacquelyn Newberg, Jonathan Grabow and Erick Grabow; brother Paul Thomas of Remus; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband John “Jack” Syren Newberg who she married on September 27, 1963, her parents, sister Marie Thomas and daughter Faith Grabow. Funeral Services will be 12 Noon Friday, October 21, 2022 at the United Methodist Church in Carson City, with Pastor Ian MacDonald officiating.  Visitation at the church will be from 11 AM till the service. Burial will be in the Carson City Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in Carroll’s name to the donors choice.
