Carol R. Egan

Carol R. Egan age 55, of Greenville, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. She was born December 20, 1959 in Carson City, the daughter of Patrick Leo and Alice Arlene (Patterson) Egan. She liked to work in her flowers, do crafting, crocheting and knitting which she did very well. Carol was always concerned with others and did not like to be the center of attention. She had lived over 25 years with her longtime partner Steve Goodwin. She also loved her dogs Lucky Frog and Brittany. Carol is survived by her 2 sons Jeremiah Egan and Michael Goodwin of Greenville, mother Arlene Egan of Millbrook; sisters Hope & (Dick) Courser of Clarksville and Mary Jo & (Larry) Doerr of Six Lakes; brother John & (Carol) Egan of Vestaburg; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Also surviving is her life partner Steve Goodwin and his father David Goodwin who meant a lot to her. She is preceded in death by her daughter Melissa Goodwin and her father Pat Egan. A Celebration of Her Life (memorial dinner) will be at 1 PM Sunday, June 21, 2015 at Blanchard American Legion Hall. Burial will take place later at Eureka Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in Carol’s name to Spectrum Hospice
