Beatrice E. Sly

Beatrice E. Sly, age 80, of Harrison, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center in Midland. She was born July 18, 1938, in Belding, the daughter of Asa L. & Frannie (Sower) Brooks. She loved gardening, camping, shopping, her grandchildren and riding motorcycles. Beatrice is survived by her children Darlene Dickinson of Sheridan, Norma & (Earl) Johnson of Crystal, Cindy & (Jim) Plaunt of Vickeryville, Burton & (Mickey) Sly, Jr. of Greenville, Terry & (Brenda) Fancett of Harrison, Vicky & (Charles) Dickinson of Sheridan and Jerry & (Kim) Fancett of Sheridan; daughter in law Bonnie White of Ionia; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Burton V. Sly, Sr. on July 17, 2014, son Shawn Fancett, grandsons Adrian Holden and Donny Mullens, son in law Orville Dickinson, sisters Ellen Lundy and Emma Carpenter and her brothers June Brooks, Millen Brooks and Eugene Brooks. Funeral & Committal Services will be 1 PM Sunday, October 7, 2018 at the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville. Visitation will be held before the service from 11 AM till 1 PM on Sunday. Burial will take place later in Evergreen Cemetery. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in Beatrice’s name are asked to consider the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan.
