Alfred F. Spohr, Jr.

Alfred F. Spohr, Jr. age 79, of Portland, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Sparrow Hospice in Lansing. He was born April 23, 1941 in Detroit, the son of Alfred F. Sr. and Irene (McHugh) Spohr. He loved watching the Hallmark Channel, collecting guns and playing cards with friends. Alfred is survived by his sons and daughters in law Robert (Jill) Spohr of Grand Rapids and Steven (Christine) Spohr of Ionia; 10 grandchildren David Spohr, Michael Spohr, Leah (David) Fuller, Faith Spohr, Noah Spohr, Aaron Spohr, Jacob Spohr, Ashley (Chad) Tupper, Eric Spohr and Dylan Spohr; 8 great grandchildren Ali, Zoie, Harper, Evalynn, Cayson, Adam, Elijah and Katey. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Carol (Clarence) Litzenburg and his infant sister Eileen Spohr. Private Services will be held. Memorial contributions can be made in Alfred’s name to the Ionia Commission on Aging.
