Adam Patrick Elderkin, age 47, of Oakland Park, Florida, unexpectedly passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023. He was born on September 9, 1976 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Adam was employed as a senior superintendent at Malcolm Drilling. He loved to work hard and play hard. Adam always said live everyday like its your last and he definitely stuck to his word. He ALWAYS made sure people were happy and put a smile on everyone's face no matter where he was or what he was doing.
Adam was such a big part of so many peoples lives. From his Cedar Springs wrestling family, his Michigan State family, his Florida family...neighbors, closest friends...and of course his Mom, Dad and Sister.
When at home in Michigan, you would find him at the cabin on Maston Lake. Fishing and hunting was a favorite. Sneaking away to visit friends was always something he enjoyed. The fireplace is where'd you would find him napping. He loved spending time with his family.
While living in Florida, he had many things he enjoyed.
From scuba diving to catch lobsters, taking naps on the beach, working on his boat and/or hummer, riding motorcycles, playing his guitar, being with his friends and visiting the local pubs.
He was just so full of life...
Adam is survived by his mother Debra D. DeVowe of Sand Lake; father Patrick L. Elderkin of Greenville; sister and brother in law April (Bruce) Bentley of Greenville; nieces and nephews Samantha (Corey) Richards of Saranac, Jordan (Jordan) Knowlton of Grand Rapids, Devan Elderkin of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Addyson Bentley and Brock Bentley, his great nieces Harper, Aleiya and Priscilla and his great nephews Roman and Carter.
