Frank G. Olsen age 69, of Portage, formerly of Greenville, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Bronson Medical in Kalamazoo. He was born October 20, 1942 in Greenville, the son of Robert G. & Celia L. (Martin) Olsen. Frank is survived by his wife Janet of Portage; brothers Dean A. Olsen of Lansing and Robert G. Olsen of Burton. He is preceded in death by his parents and his son Michael. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3531 in Schoolcraft, a former employee of American Bank & Trust First of America and an avid MSU Spartan fan. Memorial Services will be 12 Noon, February 18, 2012 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church on Centre Rd. in Portage. A luncheon will be held at 2 PM at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 11611 Shaver Rd., Schoolcraft, Mi. after the services.

I am very sad to hear of Frank's passing. He was my boss for awhile at First of America and he was a great boss. Always fair and funny, never a dull moment and always a pleasure to work with. Frank will be greatly missed.

Dear Jane, I was so sorry to hear of your loss of Frank. I was Personnel Director at the time Frank started at the bank and he was our first Programmer at AB&T when I hired him. I have many great memories of our time together at AB&T until I moved to Kalamazoo in 1984. My deepest sympathy to you and your family.

I am so sorry to just hear of Frank's passing. He was always a gentleman. I loved talking sports with him. I would tease him about his beloved Spartans and he would kid me about my Packers. I will miss him...he was such a good neighbor. After my knee surgery, he would help me to my car. Just heard about his passing today. I suspected something was not right these past few weeks. I was a classmate of Frank and remember all the wonderful times we had. So Happy that Frank was able to attend our 50th and to see him one more time. Our prayers got out to all his family.
